Dr. Joseph Porcu
Dr. Joseph Porcu has practiced Dentistry since 1984 following his graduation from Georgetown University Dental School. He has been at his current location in Syosset since 1988. While attending Georgetown he trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York for a summer Observership. In 1991 he received a certificate for periodontal procedures and surgery from the Post Graduate Dental Program for general dentists at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. Dr. Porcu considers his practice a true Family Practice with patients ranging in age from 3 years old up to patients well in their nineties. He has considerable experience in all phases of dentistry including implants, crown and bridge, Veneers –both conventional and Lumineers, and root canals.
He uses the latest equipment such as digital x-rays and Laser surgery for periodontal treatment. He maintains professional affiliations with the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and Nassau County Dental Society.
Dr. Porcu works and resides in Syosset with his wife Dora and two children Mathew and Alexandra. Outside of the office he and his family are members of Saint Edwards Roman Catholic Church in Syosset and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Hicksville. Dr. Porcu is a past President of the Long Island Gulls Youth Hockey Association and a member of the Peconic River Sportsman Club.
